golden hour photo is a free pop-up event offering headshots and a welcoming space for aanhpi community members to come together, vision board who they want to be, and build connections to their communities and each other.
our first priority is folks between jobs, laid off, or looking to get back into the job market, followed by creatives, makers, and small business owners.
even if you don't fall into these categories, still apply, we will open up the list as space allows!
what is golden hour photo?at its core, there will always be two things: photos + community! so expect to get a few headshots taken and opportunities to meet and connect with fellow community members in a low-pressure social setting.
having been there ourselves, we can understand how draining and demoralizing it can be to have to be “on” or be a certain way, particularly if you’re feeling some kinda way about where you’re at professionally or personally, so here’s an opportunity to show up as you are, as yourself, and meet other people who get it.

how else can i get involved?
full transparency, we’re paying for all the event costs out of pocket. but just because the event is free doesn’t mean we don’t incur some pretty hefty costs to put on the event. so there are definitely a few ways to help:
sponsorship—help us cover the cost to put on these events for the community. we’d love to keep it free for folks, but need help in ensuring that can happen.
in-kind donations—helping donate venue, food, refreshments for attendees and our crew, communal activities or facilitations, services, printing, etc., can make a huge difference for us.
volunteering—if you’d like to help LITERALLY make the event happen, we’d be happy to have you. we’ll ensure you’re fed, AND you’ll also get some sweet headshots to go with it!
